From Carolyn Broe

Carolyn Broe I will be an associate at the Lawrence Golan Conducting Workshop on March 10th with the Pro Musica Anthem Orchestra. I will be conducting Mendelssohn's Fingal's Cave Overture. Golan is a real perfectionist, as I learned on tour with him in China. I am really looking forward to this experience.

Carolyn Broe I got back from China on January 6th. What an amazing experience! I performed ten concerts in ten cities over the holiday break. There is a great deal of construction in China. It is much more modern, a lot like Japan. I loved Shanghai and Beijing! My son and I toured with the American Festival Orchestra on viola and bass. We saw the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, a jade factory, The Great Wall, and the beautiful Summer Palace in Beijing. If you get a chance, see China. 2 warnings, the beds are really hard!!! The hucksters at the Silk Market do not like to give us Chinese prices.
