Today I finally sent a package containing the Four Seasons Orchestra's Arizona Centennial project to the state archives. Our "Arizona Profiles" CD of Louise Lincoln Kerr's chamber music will be put into a time capsule for 100 years that will be opened on February 14th, 2112 for the Arizona Bicentennial. I also included our program, live CD recordings and a DVD of our Bach and Kerr Concert from May 19th 2012 in the package. That concert and the Kerr CD are all part of our Official Arizona Centennial Legacy Project and celebration. It made me smile today to think that some of our youngest Bach concert performers could still be alive through advances in medicine to see this time capsule opened in 2112. I wonder if they will have anything to play a CD or DVD on in 100 years?!!! Bach's music has survived over 262 years from his death. Maybe Louise Kerr's music will survive too.
